Cardiothoracic Surgery Resident

Dr. Catherine Wagner is a current 2nd year integrated cardiothoracic surgery resident at the University of Michigan. Originally from a suburb of Detroit, Catherine studied biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in cell and tissue engineering. After graduation, she worked at a pharmaceutical company performing basic science research. She then came back to the Midwest and attended medical school at the University of Michigan, where she was honored to be inducted into AOA and graduate wih academic distinction. Catherine is working towards becoming an academic adult cardiac surgeon. She sends love to her supportive husband, Mark and labradoodle, Hobbes.
