Joseph Bavaria, M.D. is the 52nd President of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) and currently the President of the Thoracic Surgery Foundation (TSF). He is the Roberts-Measey Professor & Vice-Chair of Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and Founder/Director of the Penn Aorta Center. He has authored over 500 publications and is an active investigator in over 50 Clinical Research Trials. His clinical interests involve the Aortic Valve, Aortic Root, & Thoracic Aorta.
