Vinay Badhwar, MD is the Gordon F. Murray Professor and Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery of West Virginia University and Executive Chair of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Service Line. He is an international contributor and thought leader in the management of valvular heart disease, mitral valve repair, atrial fibrillation, robotic cardiac surgery. and quality improvement. He serves as the Chair of the STS Council on Quality, Research, and Patient Safety that oversees the STS National Database and its Quality efforts.
