Mark Slaughter, MD is the Professor and Chair Department Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the University of Louisville and the Jewish Hospital Distinguished Chair of Cardiovascular Innovation. He also holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of BioEngineering and serves as a consultant to the FDA Medical Device Review Panel and grant reviewer for the National Science Foundation SBIR/STTR programs. Dr. Slaughter is the current Editor-in-Chief American Society for Artificial Internal Organs Journal.
